With increased concern for the immediate impacts of climate change, there is also recognition that the stewards and inhabitants of threatened environments, such as coastal regions, will need to equip themselves with new strategies to assess and manage their built and natural heritage, yet guard against reflex responses that do not adequately consider the protection of heritage values.
